How Differential Pressure Switch improves Bag Filter system life and saves energy

At Aircon Systems, we recommend our clients to use Differential Pressure (DP) switches to achieve On-Demand Cleaning of Filter bags.

How a traditional Filter Bag Cleaning works?

A traditional system includes a timer board, which will open the Solenoid Valve in pre-set time intervals.

Since compressed air is used in pulse cleaning the Bag filters, which is a costly resource. It should be used judiciously.

How Differential Pressure Switch helps?

We deploy a DP switch to check for DP between the clean and dirty sides of the bag filter media.

Dirtier the bag, more will be the DP between the sides.

When the bag reaches the dirt level or DP when it needs cleaning, the DP switch allows the Solenoid valve to open.

In comparison to traditional cleaning, On-Demand Cleaning saves us Compressed Air or Energy.

Another benefit of using ODC is that the reduced number of pulsing the bag filter saves the wear & tear to the filter cloth caused by the pulse flashes of compressed air.

Hence, we recommend ODC to all our clients.
